The Worktext in Operating System: Needs Analysis is a research that serves as a supplementary support for the students learning process in the course Operating System at the College of Computer Science. Specifically, it determines the availability of learning resources in Operating System and defines the level of performance of BSCS students in Operating System. The research used descriptive method of research with documentary analysis, interview and ocular inspection to gather data. The researchers utilized frequency count, mean and likert scale to analysed and interpret the data gathered. Based from the data gathered, the research has the following findings: 1) the availability of learning resources at the College Library is very minimal, and 2) the level of performance of the BSCS students in Operating System is satisfactory. Based from the findings, the researchers came up with the following conclusions: 1) the availability of learning resources at the College Library is very minimal which cannot accommodate the needs of students in Operating System, and 2) the level of performance of BSCS students in Operating System at the College of Computer Science still needs improvement. With these conclusions, the researchers recommend the following: 1)there is a necessity to produce a Worktext in Operating System to increase the learning resources needed by the students; 2) Worktext in Operating System serves as a supplementary support for students to enhance their performance in Operating System; 3) the College Library should continue purchasing books, magazines, journals and other reading materials related in Operating System for additional references of students; and 4) there should be a development of Worktext in Operating System.
